Psychedelic rock music

This is a band called Pond. Pond is a psychedelic rock band from Perth, Western Australia which formed in 2008; it is a modern psychedelic rock band which shares the same band members as Tame Impala. Current members of this band are: Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joseph Ryan, Jamie Terry, Cam Avery and Matt Handley. The members of the bands Pond and Tame Impala also play music in different bands which are Mink Mussel Creek and Allbrook/ Avery. These bands are known for playing hypno-melodic psychedelic rock music, 

Here's a track composed and played by Ravi Shankar, a famous Indian chanter. Ravi Shankar was particularly famous during the Woodstock Festival period and his music has inspired a lot of 60's/ 70's psychedelic rock bands to include Indian chants and sounds in their music. Ravi Shankar was an Indian musician and composer who played the sitar. He has been described as the best-known contemporary Indian musician. In 1956, he began to tour Europe and America playing Indian classical music and increased its popularity there in the 1960s through teaching and performing and his association with various violinists and a famous rock star George Harrison from The Beatles. Ravi Shankar performed in August 1969 at the famous 'hippie gathering' Woodstock Festival.
